I possibly should have realized this sooner but….
In season 10 of friends, Paul Rudd’s character Mike has to break up with a girl on her birthday and is helped to do so by Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow).
In the first season of How I Met Your Mother, Ted starts dating a girl that he had broken up with (on her birthday via answering machine) only to date her again and break up with her on her birthday again.
The girl getting broken up with is played by the SAME ACTRESS.
